I'm pleased to see the year start off with The Goddess and the Bull assigned as a required text for a prehistoric archaeology class at the University of Delaware. The book is indeed intended for students amongst other audiences, as it provides a detailed introduction both to the history of archaeology as well as to archaeological theory, in addition to the large amount of material on the Neolithic period. Naturally it is our hope that course adoption of the book will expand even further once it is issued in paperback in April by Left Coast Press (see posts from 2005 for more details.)
